Abstract

Since December 2012, non-farming cooperatives constitute a new subject integrating the Cuban economic system. However its development can contribute to the economic development of our country, it does require the existence of some factors to make possible its right implementation; among them we can point the necessity of the existence of a general legislation regulating this figure in Cuba, since today we have a variety of regulations around it. The present article contains a critical analysis of some of the aspects of the non-farming cooperatives regulation in Cuba —its juridical nature, its constitution process, its economic regime, and its internal administration— all of these with ultimate goal of improving its general regulation.
