Abstract

Cooperatives are especially prepared to face up to economic crises, since their participatory structure allows their members to join efforts to face setbacks and promote innovation. In addition, they are non-profit associations, which enables their members to make work sacrifices as they are also deeply rooted in their local environment and are required operational capacity when faced with any political situation.
