Principle of intercooperation and growth models
Abstract
The actual context of ever-growing markets, with a trend towards globalization and liberalization of economies, has created the appropriate context for increased competition among its participants. That´s why larger, more competitive, and more dynamic business forms are necessary to improve competitiveness and ensure survival. Therefore, the cooperative, like the rest of business entities, has to grow to survive. But, what are the possible growth models? Is it possible to undertake this process without losing the cooperative essence? This article analyzes the intercooperation modalities regulated by our current legislation, specifically, State and Basque laws, as well as a clear close reference: Mondragon Group.
